This 1985 Chevrolet Blazer K5 has V8 power, an overdrive
transmission, and a great color combo. So that makes for a nice
package when looking for one of the coolest vintage 4x4 hardtop
convertibles around.
The two-tone on this one makes it an instant standout. After all,
these K5 Blazers have an all-American attitude, and this combo
seems to bring it out with all the appeal of a Coca-Cola bottle.
There are nice brightwork pieces like the bumpers and full-length
trim that add to the appeal. But the best details might just be how
the white roof section in front coordinates nicely with the
removable fiberglass rear roof section. It gives this one a nice
look of completeness with the top on or off. The build tag tells us
this was born with the desirable red and white two-tone. There was
an update later in life to keep this looking glossy, but it's also
not so refined that you'll feel nervous about taking this 4x4 on
anything more than a manicured lawn. After all, there's still
plenty of function in a classic like this. That's why you have a
tall stance, wide side mirrors, and modern all-terrain tires.
Inside is more of the tasteful red. Plus, this has the features
you're going to like. The seats are finished in a comfy velour,
which means people will sit down in the rear without hesitation
even when this one is open to the world. And your front buckets not
only have high-back comfort, but also there's a cup holder center
console in-between. This was built in the era where Chevy loaded
some of its pickups and SUVs with the best features. So you have
cruise control, power windows, and tilt steering column on the
driver-oriented dash. The factory air conditioning has even been
converted to R134a (it will need servicing to blow cold again.)
Plus, the radio has been upgraded to an AM/FM/CD stereo with modern
Bluetooth and a USB to plug in your phone.
Under the hood is a 305 cubic-inch V8. Topped with a four-barrel
carburetor, this is believed to be original to the Blazer. It has
the clean look of a well-respected setup, and the way it fires up
and runs with gusto reaffirms its strong status. The dual exhaust
has been updated to give you a nice V8 sound, but it's far from too
boisterous to enjoy in everyday life. In fact, this one is all
about fitting into any/every day. The four-speed automatic
transmission has overdrive for easy highway cruising, and the
two-speed 4x4 transfer case is nice for when the pavement ends.
Plus, power steering and power brakes w/discs up front are great
for all trips near or far.
Complete with owner's manual and title documentation, this is the
distinct classic K5 Blazer that's already done just the way you
want it. So don't miss this deal. Call now!
