This is an outstanding 90 pt, highly roadworthy example of the classic Morgan +4. The car was purchased in 1982 with 10,000 miles om the clock and no body damage or rust. It went through a frame up restoration. Frame was primed with zinc chromate for ultimate rust protection and then top coated with rust resistant paint. It has been recoated every 10 years. The wood chassis is solid with no signs of dry rot. During the rebuild, all original screws and fasteners were removed and replaced with S/S to prevent corrosion and guarantee future ease of parts removal. All instruments were rebuilt, new wiring harness installed, many chrome parts replaced. The car has always been garaged. In 2019, a second mechanical restoration included replacing stock brake hoses with S/S hoses, rebuilding the sliding pillars, a professional rebuild of the TR4A engine including machining of the head, new rings, valve seats, connecting rod and main bearings, clutch kit, and timing gears and chain. The carbs were also completely rebuilt. A new fuel system including aluminum tank from Morgan, S/S fuel line, new sender, fuel pump, and Cu/Ni line to the carbs was installed. New chrome spoke wheels. A chrome detachable luggage rack and new side curtains were purchased from Morgan. Because replacement sender units for the temperature gauge are no longer available, a modification to the gauge needs to be made. Cost for this work is $200. Receipts for all work are available. This is a car that will give a Morgan enthusiast many years of classic driving.
