Vehicle Description
"The biggest update in the Midget's history, both on top and
underneath, came in 1974 with the addition of energy-absorbing
black plastic bumpers similar to the MGB, and the 1493-cc engine
from the Triumph Spitfire under the hood...Some collector cars are
cheap to buy because they're expensive to own. Well, the MG Midget
is cheap to buy and cheap to own, a rare combination. In terms of
fun and style per dollar, it's hard to beat, and still makes an
ideal starter classic." - Hagerty Media
This 1977 MG Midget is in good overall condition with only 39,200
miles showing on the odometer and title. The 1493cc engine turns
right over and runs well. The 4-speed manual transmission shifts
smoothly and grabs hard. The drum brakes are more than enough to
get this 1854lb sports car to a quick stop. The yellow body is in
good overall condition with no heavy dents or scratches. The paint
shows strongly with no major imperfections. Most of this body and
undercarriage is rust free. A few small bubbles exist in the rear
lower fender panels (seen in close-up photos).
The interior is in very good condition with only light wear. The
dashboard shows no fractures. The seats have no tears or excessive
wear. The door panels and the carpeting are also in very good
condition. The brown cloth top is in good condition with only one
small imperfection.
