Making its debut on January 5, 1993 at the North American
International Auto Show and going on sale on October 1, 1993, the
redesigned 1994 Ram was a sales success and was named "Truck of the
Year" by Motor Trend in 1994. Richard Lee Petty, nicknamed The
King, is an American former NASCAR driver who raced from 1958 to
1992 in the former NASCAR Grand National and Winston Cup Series
(now called the NASCAR Cup Series). He was the first driver to win
the NASCAR Cup Championship seven times (Dale Earnhardt and Jimmie
Johnson are the only other drivers to accomplish this feat),
winning a record 200 races during his career, winning the Daytona
500 a record seven times, and winning a record 27 races (10 of them
consecutively) in the 1967 season alone.
