in the below inspection summary, in order to distinguish those
areas critical to VIN authenticity. The presence of Factory welds,
assures you that over the lifetime of the vehicle it has not seen
metal replacement(s) by unqualified installers. Remember, the
longevity of a restoration or nice paint job is highly dependent on
the metal beneath. METAL - INSPECTION: • From the front: The front
radiator support has the correct VIN stamped and has all factory
welds with no sign of accident or replacement. The Frame rails that
run from the front bumper to beneath the firewall are straight,
factory welded and without crimple from front end impact. • Front
fenders are straight and rust free • The cowl also contains the
correct VIN and is Factory original, straight and factory welded to
the firewall. Firewall is original, straight and rust free. •
Starting at the top, this car never had a vinyl roof to trap water
or the the trim to hold water or leak. • From the rear: Metal just
below the back glass window is factory welded to package tray and
trunk jamb, Never rusted, Not even a light oxidation on the bottom
side that wasn't factory painted. • Both Quarter panels: starting
at the rearmost are original factory stitch welded to rear valence,
and at the top are factory welded to the trunk jamb. • Continuing
to inspect Quarters from inside trunk; • No evidence of accident as
inspected from rear as far forward as you can see.
