Vehicle Description
1967 Pontiac GTO
Why This Car Is Special
While buying a perfectly restored muscle car can be a satisfying
experience, albeit expensive, finding a classic GTO that is can be
driven and enjoyed now and worked into perfection when you want or
can afford, is refreshing.
That is the case with the 1967 Pontiac GTO we have here at Skyway
Classics today. In a world of look-alike replicas and tribute GTOs
made out of Tempests and LeManns, ours is a REAL GTO that only the
first 3 numbers of 242 can verify, VIN # 242177P218235.
Mechanical
This GTO is fitted with a 400 cubic inch V8 and a TH-400 3-speed
automatic transmission, power steering, power brakes, and a dual
exhaust. It has an aftermarket Edelbrock aluminum intake on it even
though the engine and intake are painted in Pontiac blue authentic
color engine paint.
It has a four-barrel carb, high performance spark plug wires,
chrome valve covers, factory correct iron exhaust manifolds, and
sits in a clean and correct engine compartment.
Interior
The interior of our GTO is very good in its factory-correct gold
twin front bucket seats and matching rear seat, gold door panels,
carpeting, and headliner all have a nice finish.
The wood-like trim on the dash and center console add to this
vintage GTO look with the big round gauges and tach, sport steering
wheel, black floor mats, and the iconic Hurst Dual-Gate shifter for
the automatic transmission.
Exterior
The GTO looks like it has had a re-spray of the factory Signet Gold
and looks nice in the sunlight showing the hood scoop and curvy
rear fenders. Our GTO has great style with the vinyl roof and the
gold paint with tan vinyl top and gold interior color combination
makes our GTO stand out from the crowds of red, black, and blue
ones!
The Soft Ray glass appears to be free of any obvious issues as does
the external trim and chrome and the front and rear bumper. The
trunk looks original with the tire jack, Pontiac floor mat, and
spare tire too.
Cragar SS wheels ride on BF Goodrich TA Radial tires and give it
the period look and the dual exhaust with the chrome tips coming
out he rear have a throaty sound. Conclusion
It is a striking GTO that will garner plenty of admiring glances is
what you want, then the 1967 Pontiac GTO we have here at Skyway
Classics is the one for you.
