Vehicle Description
Oldsmobile's best-selling model for 25-years, the 88 offered
up-level ride, handling and appointments to consumers. With many
trim levels to choose from, 88 buyers had their choice of build
from sporty to luxurious. 1956 represents the final year of the
second-generation of the 88. The '56 model came with a new split
front grill, updated taillights, and revised belt-line and rear
chrome molding. On the inside, the round speedometer was replaced
with a new oval design and the car's parking brake was no longer
hand-operated, but instead operated with a floor pedal.
This '56 Rocket 88 checks all the boxes for someone looking for a
classic that will immediately grab everyone's attention as it
cruises effortlessly down the road. On the outside, the Candy Apple
Red paint job sets this car apart from it's two-tone counterparts.
The brightwork gleams against the paint and the Coker whitewalls
add a touch of class to the car. Open the door and you find an
ivory and black interior with ivory dash. Mounted under the dash is
a newly-installed Vintage A/C system that blows cold, making this a
fun car for summer cruises. Fire up the Rocket V8 and the car
purrs. Click on the A/C, slide it into drive and it's ready to
roll.
Unless otherwise stated, mileage shown on odometer is exempt and
unknown if original.
