Vehicle Description
This is a real-deal 1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass 442 Convertible with an
enhanced 455ci V8 and four-on-the-floor. So you already it's a
dream muscle machine even before you check out how awesome
everything is from the sleek paint to the bright interior.
Azure Blue is a light color with a radiant finish that seems to
really draw attention to this premium Olds. That's especially true
because this factory-correct color has been given a high-quality
respray that even makes it smooth to the touch. The light loves to
roll off the sheetmetal and highlight the iconic curves of the
Cutlass design. So it's awesome to have a convertible that loves to
go out in the sunlight like this one. Plus, you get even more shine
from the well-done brightwork package with form-fitting bumpers,
large dual exhaust tips, and 15-inch Cragar wheels. It's a look
that both sporty and brilliant.
The newer white convertible top looks great against the light blue
- the full impression is like a sunny day sky. So you'll be quite
happy when you flip the switch, and it powers down to reveal an
equally nice white interior. In fact, it's a well-done full color
package. Because while the seats and door panels are done in white,
the carpeting is done in a deep blue to hide more dirt from your
shoes. And this coordinates with the kick plates and dash for an
attractive total sea of blue and white. You'll enjoy vintage
details, including the wood-like trim and AM radio that's still on
display. But what really makes this one irresistible is how much of
a driver's machine it is. You have classic Olds performance pieces,
like the four-spoke sports steering wheel (power steering) and
large round gauges featuring a tic-toc-tach. These are joined by
nice upgrades like the cleanly installed auxiliary readout trio and
the Hurst floor shifter.
While the exterior has plenty of nice blue, the blue that you'll
like be showing off the most is the block of the big 455 cubic-inch
V8. It's so bright in the dark engine bay that it looks like this
muscle machine is radiating power. And this one certainly is thanks
to upgrades like a Holley Street Avenger four-barrel carburetor,
Edelbrock Torker 455 intake, and a wicked set of long tube headers
feeding the dual exhaust. Even the fundamentals are well-done with
an electronic ignition, new alternator, tidy wires, and newer
lines. This mighty V8 fires up nicely, and you take full control of
the power and rumbling soundtrack thanks to the four-speed manual
transmission. You can see from the undercarriage photos that even
the bottom of this car is looking fresh. Plus, you'll spot nice
features, like the boxed rear trailing arms w/sway bar, 12-bolt
rear end, and power front disc brakes.
This is a clean and bright presentation of a seriously powerful
442. So if you love open-top driving of a with plenty of muscle
behind it, call today!
