European Motor Studio is excited to offer this 1969 Lotus Europa S2 Coupe finished in British Racing Green over Black. After completion at the Norfolk England factory in December of 1969, this Europa S2 Type 65 was invoiced to North America. A long time Washington state car that came to Arizona 4 years ago and has been here ever since. The odometer shows 67,600 miles, which is believed to be correct. Repainted in its original factory British Racing Green about 4 years ago, all of the trim and glass came out of the car for the paint job. There are a few small stone chips in the front lower skirt, one inside the mouth on the passenger side, a couple small chips on the driver door edge and two small scratches on the front hood. The paint shows very well and was done to a very nice standard. New rubber body seals from RD Enterprises were used when reassembling the car. The Europa has new Twin Cam wheels and brand new tires. The interior is in great shape with little wear to the original carpets and center console. The upper dash does have a crack just above the gauges and the wood is in original condition. The seats may have been redone at some point but in correct factory material. The headliner has recently been replaced. The car has just gone through a major mechanical service including a new fuel pump, rebuilt carbs, new oil pan seal, new plugs and wires, new radiator and coolant hoses, new brake master cylinder, new front pads, rotors and bearings, new clutch cable, and all new fluids and filters. All of the exterior lights are working and all of the dash lights are operating and both power windows are working as they should. The engine pulls very strong with excellent compression. All 4 cylinders were between 160 and 180. The engine does not smoke on start up or acceleration and runs through all of the gears with no issues. This Europa runs and driver incredibly well and is very tight and solid on the road. No rust anywhere in the frame or undercarriage and no signs of any prior accident damage or repair. A very straightforward and honest early Europa.
