Very nice, largely restored 1957 100-6. Acquired through a collector, the car has benefited from a great deal of refurbishment and restoration work over the years. An excellent fitting, rust free BN4 Austin Healey fitted with what is to believed to be (I am still awaiting the heritage certificate from England as the Heritage Trust has postponed access to the archives for Covid), it’s original six cylinder, dual SU carbureted engine and matching four speed manual transmission with electric overdrive.
Most all systems of the car have had services and refurbishment over the years. The Fuel tank, fuel pump, fuel sending unit are new & the SU carburetors have been rebuilt. The car has new cooling hoses, heater hoses as well as a new heater control valve and thermostat cover. The car is fitted with a chrome valve cover, new plug wires and cap, PerTronics ignition, new brake and clutch fluid reservoir and line, a new wiper motor & new overdrive solenoid.
The interior was refreshed, a few years ago with new front and rear seat covers, door panels, dash covering and a new carpet set. The instruments appear to be original and all are working properly. The engine starts and runs beautifully with good oil pressure, perfect temperature, A strong clutch and good synchronizers. All of the lights, signals, wipers, heater fan, etc. are working properly.
It’s lacquer paint still shines beautifully with a few minor imperfections. Both the glass and chrome are in excellent condition. The car is fitted with newer Dayton chrome wire wheels and spinners, radial tires, a new battery, and comes with its black tonneau cover.
