The 1972 Pontiac GTO was the last of the era for the muscle cars.
It marked the end of the GTO. These cars were staples at the drag
strip. When you went to equip a GTO with the "WW5" Option you got
everything to go racing. Heavy Duty Suspension, Disc Brakes, 455 ci
engine Ram Air system, Turbo 400 transmission, Safe-T-Track
differential "Y99", front and rear 1 1/8" sway bars, Formula Trans
Am steering wheel, power steering, power disc brakes, gauge cluster
with tachometer, body colored sports mirrors and G60X15 tires.
Equipped with a bench seat and AM/FM stereo and column shift which
is not found often.
This particular car was purchased new in Washington State. This car
has stayed there its entire life. It has undergone a restoration.
This car is fully documented back to day one. It is in its original
colors of Anaconda Gold over Tan interior.
A great opportunity to own a no stories car that has great
documentation and is something that you aren't afraid to get in a
drive.
Condition Report:
Exterior: 1-, Paint just went through a multi-stage detailing
process known as "Paint Correction". The brightwork and trim
appears to be original and does not look like it was removed from
the car, it shows normal scratches. The bumpers are body color and
are in nice condition. The car has 2 sets of wheels including the
original aluminum "snowflake" wheels. The original wheels are
original and show nicely.
Interior: 1, Interior is very nice, it has been restored with new
seat covers and carpets. The door panels and dash pad has been
re-dyed. Shows minimal wear.
Engine Compartment: 1-, the engine was recently rebuilt and
cosmetically detailed. The engine runs strong and the engine
compartment shows nicely. Restored with generic hardware, not
original bolts., etc. Transmission and Rear End have also been
rebuilt.
Chassis: 2-. The chassis was restored using a body on process. The
chassis presents as a nice driver and not a concours car on the
underside.
