This car is very special in several ways. It is a two owner car
which has lived a very pampered life. This car is a very low
production vehicle with only 5800 built worldwide in 1984. It also
had a MSRP of over $60,000 when new and is fully loaded! This was
THE big boy car to own in the 80's.
As Per US regulations, this car has a European 17 digit VIN, which
their system does not recognize. It is as follows:
WDB1260441A173203 and has been fully federalized, can be registered
in all 50-states, and has a clean re-assignable Arizona title. This
car was imported from Europe BRAND NEW in 1984 by original owner
Samon Shaheri. This 500SEC was put through all US DOT regulations
and rules. This car was his pride and joy and always received the
best care and service. He sold the car to a close personal friend
in 2001 who continued to show the love and care to this special

The body on the car is in very good condition and was extremely
well maintained. The paint on the car is finished in its original
color of Brilliant and is in very good condition and has had one
high quality repaint in its life. The car has been completely
inspected underneath from front to back and is solid as a rock as
any well cared for garaged car should be. All chrome trim, glass,
and rubber seals are in great shape. The car looks as nice as the
day it rolled off the Mercedes lot. It just had a full detail done
at a cost of over $500 so this car looks spectacular! The car is
accented by a high dollar set of period correct AMG chrome wheels.
They are wrapped in like new Performance Radials.
The interior is in very nice restored condition all around. The
original cloth interior was recently upgraded to two-tone
leatherette sport pattern. The carpets are all very nice are not
worn or damaged. All dials and controls function as they should,
power windows and antenna also are fully functional. The sound
system is also very nice with the upgraded Kenwood sound system.
All lights, gauges switches, and accessories work as they should.
The trunk compartment is very clean and does have the original jack
and the ORIGINAL spare tire and wheel. This car is all there and in
excellent shape with all functions and accessories working as they
should.
Mechanically, this SEC runs GREAT! I have owned nearly 20 80's and
90's era Mercedes vehicles, and this car blows the doors off all of
them! The car starts right up and shifts smooth as silk. It drives
as good now as the day it rolled of the lot. The V8
engine is very quick and responsive. It is reliable, easy to fix,
and parts are readily available. The 5.0L V8 has been Mercedes
workhorse engine for nearly 30 years, so you know it is just plain
reliable. The suspension is very tight and feels solid even at
autobahn speeds above 90mph, and is claimed to have a top speed of
140 MPH! The car was always regularly serviced every 4,000 miles
and shows it in how flawless the car drives. The car is tight and
right as any low mileage car should be with no current mechanical
issues.
All in all, this is THE cleanest and nicest SEC that I have had the
privilege of being associated with. It has been professionally
maintained and truly loved by its previous owners. This Mercedes is
