spent most of its life in locally here in St. Louis Missouri. The
Mamba Edition is the only version of Viper ever built, even today,
that does not have all black interior. It has black seats with
suede inserts, red leather accents throughout, and polished
aluminum grab handles and accessories. Everything works on this car
as it should. This car has been adult-driven and well maintained by
a local car collector. The Viper Black paint is in overall
excellent condition. The black canvas convertible top, with its
glass rear window and defroster grid, is nearly flawless. In
addition, this example has a newer style 2008 model hood plus its
factory hood is still included, which is in excellent condition.
Under that 2008 hood is an 8.3L, odd-firing 90? V-10 engine, which
generates 500 horsepower and 525 pounds-feet of torque. The
engine?s dance partner is a Tremec T56 six-speed manual
transmission with a 3.07:1 rear end. The engine breathes via
side-exit dual exhausts. Driver convenience features include
air-conditioning, cruise control, power steering, power disc
brakes, power windows, power locks, power seats. This Viper has
dual front airbags and Brembo anti-lock brakes. This snake rolls on
Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires, size 275/35ZR18 in front and
345/30ZR18 in rear. Each tire is mounted on five-spoke polished
alloy wheels. The tires and wheels are all in very good order.
Inside, the car?s black bucket seats are in overall very good
condition with extra bolstering. The matching carpet in great
shape. The dashboard contains full instrumentation. It and the
inner door panels are black and trimmed in red. The three-spoke
steering wheel is also trimmed in red, along with the center
console and other items. A fat shift lever and a factory AM/FM
stereo with CD player round out the interior. The third-generation
Viper was introduced in 2003, named the SRT-10, which replaced both
the RT/10 and GTS models. The engine displacement was increased
from 8.0 to 8.3 liters and along with other upgrades. The engine
was 507 pounds lighter and the chassis was more rigid and
lightweight. Convertible competition to this Viper in 2004 included
Aston Martin?s DB9 Volant? Roadster, Chevrolet?s Corvette Z06,
Ferrari 575M Superamerica, Lamborghini?s Murcielago Roadster and
