This 1979 Toyota Land Cruiser BJ41 is a very cool and unique
vehicle. The back story is that it was imported from Japan and is
an original vehicle that was repainted once in it's original
Freeborn Red Color and that includes repainting the inside as well.
Other than that the Kilometers showing are supposed to be original
and it is RHD with the 3.0L Diesel Engine. It runs and drives
awesome!!! The body on this BJ41 is excellent and the metal looks
to be all original and we found no rust or rust repair anywhere.
The repaint is quality and it looks excellent with no dents or
dings and only a couple of very minor marks from driving. The
engine compartment and original engine were left original. The
interior is also very clean and looks great. As stated earlier, the
inside was also repainted and I am not sure if the seats are
original or not. The drivers seats does have two tears right in the
seams, but the passenger seat is perfect. Everything on this rig
was working when we test drove it. The heater fan does make a
little noise.
Mechanically this Land Cruiser is sound. It has the 3.0L Diesel
Engine that is rock solid and dependable. It starts very easy and
runs excellent with no excessive smoke. We were really surprised
how nice this little engine runs and it is pretty peppy, but
obviously not made to be super fast. The stock 4 Speed manual
Transmission shifts nice and smooth and the clutch is tight. All of
the 4WD functions as it should. When we drove this vehicle
everything was tight and solid. The steering is tight as well. Fun
little vehicle to drive.
We drive what we sell so that we can give you a first hand and
accurate report on how the vehicle runs and drives. Our pictures
are never touched up or photoshopped. What you see is an accurate
representation of the vehicle. We take consistent pictures and show
you everything so you can get a true representation of the
vehicle.
