The 1967 911 S cars were the first to have the extra horsepower,
which was increased from 130HP to 160HP. This was a unique
transition year for Porsche and as a result, one of the most unique
911s was produced. The 1967 S had one of the lightest chassis as
well as a 2.0-liter "S" engine derived directly from its race
program. This combination produced a true sport purpose car.
European Collectibles sold this 911 to one of our repeat clients in
2013. After the purchase the client spared no expense having
European Collectibles perform a restoration on this 911 from 2013
to 2014 including a complete re-paint, chrome plating, refinishing
the original wheels, rebuilt the transmission, rebuilt suspension,
braking system, complete undercarriage detail, and new interior!
This 911 is in perfect condition with no signs of any rust or
misuse. The interior is stunning with factory sport seats and
houndstooth inserts! All the gauges including the clock are
original and have been restored as well.
Options include a gas heater, wooden steering wheel, deluxe horn
ring, seat belts, Blaupunkt AM/FM radio, factory flat 4 1/2" Fuch
alloy rims (one year only) sporting VREDESTEIN Sprint Classic 165
HR 15 tires. Complete with the original owner's manual, restoration
receipts, Certificate of Authenticity, spare wheel/tire, and
tools.
The best part is the way this 911 S drives. It is pure Porsche.
There is nothing like the way the short wheelbase with the
short-stroke early motors rev. The 2.0-Liter runs perfectly with
very precise and smooth shifting. The steering is very light and
responsive with no pulling or other issues. The brakes along with
the suspension have been completely rebuilt. This would be the
ideal 911 for vintage touring events.
