Vehicle Description
This 1943 Ford GPW Jeep was acquired by the seller two years ago
from a previous owner who reportedly used it in parades and other
gatherings. The truck is finished in Olive Drab Green and fitted
with black vinyl seats, a roll bar, a tow bar, a receiver hitch,
and a folding canvas top. Power comes from a 134ci L-head
inline-four paired with a T90 three-speed manual transmission and a
two-speed transfer case. This GPW is offered with a clean
California title in the seller's name. Ford built the Willys Jeep
under contract, and later versions such as this featured nine
grille slots as well as fixed tailgates. This example is finished
in Olive Drab with white stencil graphics. A roll bar has been
added along with an older canvas top with two bows. Non-original
tail lights and a receiver hitch are mounted at the rear. Black
military-style wheels wear Hercules Terra Trac tires, and a spare
is attached at the rear. The front bumper is equipped with a tow
bar. The spartan interior features individual front seat frames and
a rear bench trimmed in black vinyl, while the floors are covered
in matching paint. Cracks are visible on the steering wheel, and
other imperfections are present throughout. Instrumentation
includes a five-digit odometer showing approximately 9k miles, with
actual mileage unknown. Unused dash placards are included in the
sale. The carbureted 134ci Go-Devil L-head inline-four shows block
casting number 638632, which indicates that it was built for a
Willys MB between 1941and 1945. An Optima Redtop battery is fitted,
and a start-up video has been provided by the seller. Please Note
