This 1937 Ford Humpback Custom has a terrific street machine look
and a plenty of V8 power to back it up, but what you'll really love
is how this is an all-around driver, too. After all, features like
an overdrive transmission, four-wheel disc brakes, and a
custom/comfy A/C interior means this one is more than just about
showing off its good looks.
The glossy Hot Red paint lives up to its name. This has been laid
down with a professional hand, and so it does a terrific job
highlighting all the curves in the body. It looks so nice that this
one gets to forego brightwork in some traditional places, like the
grille. Plus, the extra red makes for a terrific canvas for them to
lay down the painted silver metallic flames with blue edging. It's
a blaze that starts at the teardrop headlights, burns down the
profile, and ends on the trunk with a special take on Ford's V8
graphic. So yes, be prepared for people to do a lot of talking
about your custom exterior. There are more aggressive street
machine pieces, like the wide exhaust tips, sport mirrors, and the
forward leaning stance of Boyd Coddington alloys staggered at 17/20
inches front/rear. But as much as you love the custom details,
don't forget to check out the fundamentals. The way the panels line
up nicely, the clean glass, and the pliable weatherstripping are
all signs of thoughtful quality.
Where the exterior details area all about a wild custom look, the
investments inside seem to be more about custom comfort. This has a
tasteful two tones of tan that are intertwined on the seats,
carpeting, and door panels. We especially like the button-top
presentation of the ultra-leather seating, and the large rear space
is even large enough to take adult friends along for the ride. In
fact, there are plenty of great features to keep them all
comfortable, like power windows, satellite radio (subscription
required), and cold blowing R-134A air-conditioning. You'll love
slipping behind the upgraded banjo-style steering wheel. This has
driver-oriented features, like a Lokar shifter, tilt steering
column, and upgraded gauge package including tach.
The engine bay has a nice presentation with the smooth red hot
firewall as a backdrop for plenty of polished components like the
valve covers, air topper, and alternator. Plus, you'll also spot
nice supporting components, like the temp-controlled electric fans.
And what you'll really like is this is running a 400 cubic-inch V8.
Not only do you get big block displacement in a small-block size,
but also this one has been further upgraded with performance pieces
like an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock intake, and
coated headers. You can hear the power of this motor every time you
fire it up and hear the dual exhaust's fierce rumble. But this one
is built for far more than brute force. It's ready for highway
cruising thanks to the a 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission
with overdrive. And power steering, grippy ZR-rated tires, upgraded
front suspension, and four-wheel power disc brakes are all great
anytime driving features.
You're looking at a striking total package of an all-steel custom.

Tour, call today!!!
