This 1983 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ60 spent most of its life in
California and it shows by how clean it is. It has had a lot of
miles put on it over the years, but the Tuned Port Fuel Injected
350 V8 that was rebuilt has around 10,000 on it based on the
information we received. This is a very clean and very straight
Land Cruiser and although some of it was refurbished and restored,
the paint and body are original and it is extra clean. The body on
this FJ is as nice as they come with no evidence of rust or rust
repair anywhere. The paint appears to be all original and in great
shape with only some nice poatina coming through. The stripes are
showing some age, but it adds to the character. The original chrome
is still in great condition and the underside is very very clean!
The interior has been mostly redone with some custom touches added.
t has a new rubber floor mat, newly recovered seats, new headliner,
new center console. There is a CB added in the dash which is really
cool and the door panels are in good shape and look to be original.
All of the lights, gauges, wipers, horn are working. The AC is
complete and needs a charge according to the last owner. A quick
note: because of the TPI Engine the Tach is inop which is
common.
Mechanically this truck is awesome with the slow Inline 6 Engine
being replaced with the dependable Chevy 350 V8. It gives this
truck the power it needs and deserves. This engine had the TPI
added as well and it runs strong and smooth. When they replaced the
engine they also swapped out the Manual Transmission with the more
modern H55 5 Speed Manual and it is a wonderful combo. It shifts
smooth and easy. They left the stock FJ60 Transfer Case when they
did the swap. All of this mad this vehicle much more driver
friendly in todays day and age. This truck has the stock Toyota
Axles with 4.10 gears and they were gone through as well. It has an
OME (Old Man Emu) Lift on it with greasable shackles and a nice set
of 33 Inch BFG All Terrains as well. One more item that was added
is a 40 Gallon Extended Range Fuel tank which is a desirable
addition. This rig drove fantastic and the owner will be pleased
with this purchase.
