Vehicle Description
Here's a very affordable time capsule at its best. This 1972
Chevrolet Monte Carlo has averaged less than 900 miles annually,
and it has truly been a cherished coupe with its factory-correct
colors, plush interior, V8 power, and plenty of documentation.
The Monte Carlo was the top echelon of the Chevy lineup. Their
personal luxury coupe looks fantastic in its correct Spring Green
color with premium black vinyl roof. Not only does this hue
continue to have a modern appeal, but this is furthered by a
professional respray later in life that helps retain a nice shine.
You want a coupe like this looking bright. After all, that's the
best way to highlight the crisp lines of the sheet metal. There's
plenty of sporty appeal, too with the hardtop profile, and the
kick-up in the rear fender that rises to meet it. Like any great
American classic, it also has a ton of bright work to make it
standout. The the wide chrome bumpers, full rocker trim, and
exclusive grille with Monte Carlo badge all continued to gleam
nicely. Plus, the iconic Rally wheels are a great finishing touch
to any shiny Chevy package.
We love it when the roof color is a preview of what's inside. The
dual cloth benches don't have even a button missing from these
original pattern, and so they seat six in complete luxury. The
complete and well-presented condition of the black dash pad, door
panels, and carpeting makes this feel like a time machine. Within
this darkness, the burled walnut simulated wood on the steering
wheel and dash are terrific standouts. This is a driver-oriented
setup where you have a clear view to the round gauge package that
reinforces both the premium and sporty feeling.
Under the hood is the original numbers-matching 350 cubic-inch V8,
which is another testament of how nicely this car represents its
era. In fact, we love how the bold orange block and valve covers
radiate from within the dark engine bay. The factory air topper
even still has the correct decal for a survivor-style presentation.
This trusty small-block has the kind of power and plentiful torque
to move this big coupe with ease. The custom Flowmaster dual
exhaust makes a nice low rumble, hinting at the power plant under
the hood. Still, this is Chevrolet's personal luxury statement, so
you get great driving features such as the three-speed automatic
transmission, power steering, new rear shocks, and power brakes
with discs up front.
Complete with the original window sticker, Protect-O-Plate warranty
card, and owner's manual, this is a distinct classic with a
terrific pedigree. Classic like this never stay affordable for
long. Call now!
