Volkswagen Thing! These are tough and rugged SUVs with removable
doors, fold down windshield and easily removable top provides for a
full open driving experience. VW Things are easy to work on and
cheap to maintain, making them fun to own. This example has over
$22,000 spent on the restoration and about 6,000 miles since the
engine was rebuilt. The body was media blasted to bare metal and
repainted in a cool Sand Beige color. Match that with a black
interior and black top, and you've got a real head turner. The
inside of the tub has been done in bedliner, so it is easy to clean
after a day at the beach. It comes with a lot of extra parts if
you'd like to take some things back to stock, or have extras just
in case. This Thing has a new clutch, new battery, new e-brake,
locking glovebox door, custom weatherproof sound system, and a cool
canvas bimini top! The rear seat has been replaced with a custom
rear seat that turns into a bed, but the stock seat comes with it
as well. It has a roll cage that looks great, helps keep the top
tight and provides some extra insurance should you decide to take
this baby down some trails! The engine is a 1973-1974 VW 1,600 CC
mated to a 4-speed manual transmission. A custom exhaust system
gives this Things a very sporty sound and looks great. For
