Vehicle Description
1945 Chevrolet 1/2-Ton Pickup
Why This Car Is Special
There were few Chevrolet Pick-Ups sold in 1945 because of WWII.
Between March 9th, 1942 and July 31st, 1945 only the Office of
Defense could authorize the sale of a light duty truck to the
civilian market.
In an already low production market in these three years, fewer
than 6,000 were titled as 1945's. There were few for sale only to
qualified and essential buyers and required War Department
authorization. So the 1945 Chevrolet 1/2-Ton Pickup we have here
Skyway Classics is very rare to begin with.
Mechanical
This beautiful 1945 Chevrolet Pickup truck has had a complete
restoration on this rare and very desirable body style and made
into the street rod you see here.
The engine is all Chevy with its small block V8 engine dressed in
custom finned Chevrolet embossed valve covers, polished dual air
filter air cleaner, performance distributor and ignition
system.
It also has power steering and brakes, air conditioning, a
three-speed automatic transmission, and sits in a very clean,
detailed and white painted engine compartment.
Interior
The interior looks show worthy with its custom leather upholstered
dual bucket seats, matching door panels and headliner, custom dash
with VDO performance gauges, tilt steering column and wood steering
wheel, LED lighting, wood grain trim and custom roof console for
the stereo radio, and tan plush carpet.
Exterior
The body and paintwork looks killer as the grille fits the painted
front end beautifully, all the chrome looks great, the polished
7-spoke custom mag wheels with black wall tires look amazing, and
the doors operate nicely.
It has a great custom wooden bed interior, both the front and rear
end is flush and painted, the top has been chopped, and it has a
complete custom look to the whole truck.
Underneath you will see the dual exhaust system with the two Cherry
Bomb mufflers, 10-bolt GM Chevy rear end, and multi-leaf rear
springs.

The 1945 Chevrolet Ton Pickup Street Rod we have here Skyway
