Same owner since 1999, we just purchased from his estate. It has
great features like a baby Super Sport.
EXTERIOR: The body is really straight and the panels fit square. It
had a really nice repaint and then we wet sanded and polished it.
Now it looks like glass! The metal flake is laid out evenly, the
clear looks so deep that you could dive right into it. The chrome
and trim in the front and back shines like new. New bowtie mirrors.
Jambs are clean, weatherstrips were replaced. New windshield. The
black convertible top was replaced recently. It has 15 inch rally
wheels.
INTERIOR: Overall nice interior. I think the coolest part about it
is the 4-speed sticking up between the bucket seats and it also has
the factory gauges. That would include the in dash gauges and the
"knee knocker" tachometer mounted to the column. It also has a
console. It has an original AM radio with an external FM unit. Also
has a walnut steering wheel. The front seats have been
reupholstered, the back seat is good original condition. The door
panels in fronts are new, dash pad is excellent. Carpets were
replaced. It has factory seat belts front and back. The heater
control panel is faded.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Has a strong running 350 motor with an
Edelbrock carb that has an electric choke. It has the double hump
heads, stock manifolds, the distributor cap and wires look recent.
The radiator, shroud, fan, stainless upper hose and polished
overflow bottle look recent. The power brake system is definitely
new, has cadmium plated booster new lines, master etc. The
alternator looks new. It also features power steering. The engine
bay is nice clean metal painted black. Bottom of the hood is
painted the color of the car. The hinges and latch were chrome
plated years ago.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It has been nicely restored, solid metal with a
nice tidy coat of grey and white spatter finish paint. It has a new
mat and weatherstrip. The jamb and the bottom of the trunk is just
as glossy as the exterior. The spare is a matching rally wheel,
tire looks new and it has the jack assembly.
UNDERSIDE: It appears the suspension and steering has been rebuilt
and upgraded. Upfront it has a sway bar, ball joints, bushings,
shocks and springs have been replaced. In back it has upgraded PSI
upper and lower control arm system. Also new springs and gas
shocks. It has it's original Muncie 4-speed with the correct codes
and numbers. Also original 12-bolt rear end with 3.31 gears and a
chrome cover. The dual exhaust has glasspack type mufflers. Overall
it looks solid, it has had some repair. The brake system has been
gone through and upgraded with disc in front. The e-brake cables
look complete.
Its probably more rare than a Super Sport equipped like it is.
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for
virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant
amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my
professional impression of the vehicle.
Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure
your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do
a walk around video that explains the car's condition in
detail.
