Very cool 50s style custom. Big block power, rides on air and has a
lift off top!
EXTERIOR: It has a look! Big fat fendered car with lift off Carson
top. The top is chopped 5 inches, it's padded and upholstered in
rich black canvas, has chrome framed rear window. It now has
suicide doors that have been shaved and filled. The trunk lid is
shaved, has release cable inside the car. It also has fender
skirts, original set of Appleton spotlights (not functional) and
50s style hand pin stripes. The body and paint are presentable, not
show quality. Sharp burgundy metallic color. The whole grill is
really nice, has glass teardrop headlights. It has 1948 Plymouth
bumpers, front is original, the rear has been rechromed. Has radial
white wall tires. Once parked you can slam it to the ground for a
real dramatic look.
INTERIOR: The dash is signed by George Barris and Gene Winfield. It
is good condition not high end. Custom upholstered, has storage
space behind the seat. It has a Lokar floor shifter, a modern
stereo system is in the glove box and it is hands free voice
controlled. It also features a traffic light viewer, has turn
signals and power windows.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Big block Chevy 454 motor with aluminum intake,
big dual feed Harley carb, HEI ignition system. It is dressed up
with a 1950s Cadillac air cleaner painted and pinstriped to match
the car. A set of finned aluminum valve covers are painted to match
too. I love the headers. Pretty wild looking things that go around
the frame and down through the fender well.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It has a release cable inside. The floor is
carpeted, the sides are boxed and upholstered. It is home to the
air ride compressor and tank and also a battery with a
disconnect.
UNDERSIDE: Front suspension has RideTech air bags with 3 inch drop
spindles. In back it has a custom installed 4 link rear suspension
with new ride tech Shockwave bags. Bottom of the motor is clean,
has flywheel cover, starter looks new. Mild performance built Turbo
350 trans and a GM 10 bolt posi in back. It has been upgraded with
disc brakes in front. The exhaust winds it's way to the back, has
glass pack mufflers. Upgraded electric fuel pump and stainless
braided hose. The floors appear to be solid, painted black.
This is a show car of a different sort. It wont win for condition
but it will win popular votes. Done in such a cool 50s style
fashion with some great features. It's going to turn just as many
heads and you'll probably have more fun with this and you would
with the high end build!
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for
virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant
amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my
professional impression of the vehicle.
Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure
your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do
a walk around video that explains the car's condition in
detail.
