Vehicle Description
We're pleased to present you with a versatile 1968 Chevrolet Nova.
Versatile because it's ready to cruise, show, or even race with a
supercharged 355 cubic inch small block. The proven Weiand
supercharger is the perfect power adder for dependability on the
street with plenty of performance when the occasion arises. It has
the sought after 2.02 heads to assure the engine can breathe in all
the air from the blower. Hedman Headers expel the spent gases to
make room for more. You'll find MSD components under the hood
including the 6AL ignition with a built in rev limiter, plus a
boost retard for optimum performance with the supercharger. Shift
as hard as you like with a B&M ratchet shifter. It has a
reverse lock-out racing style. An Auto Meter tach counts the revs
for you, and a full set of gauges including a helpful boost gauge
monitor the car's functions. The paint is burgundy metallic with
subtle ghost stripes that show just the right amount of metalflake
for some retro cool. Vinyl tops were big in the sixties and still
look great on cars like the Nova. The black contrasts nicely with
the paint. A fiberglass cowl induction scoop channels air to the
blower. Competition Engineering traction bars are a neat, simple,
and effective way to hook up under acceleration, and they fit the
period-correct theme of the build. The cloth seats and interior
trim are a touch of retro/modern, including power adjust. This
little Chevy is also equipped with power steering and power front
disc brakes. A set of classic Rallye wheels with trim rings and
chrome hubcaps are almost mandatory on a build like this. And just
the right stance is achieved with 235/60R-15 tires in front and
245/60R-15s in the rear. A 12-bolt posi with 3.73 gears facilitates
strong off-the-line performance and good bite. Start it up, and the
fabulous sound from the blown small block is a sure-fire indicator
that things were done right. Step on the gas to confirm it. The car
was methodically put together by the former owner and his father,
the way many great hot rods come to be. Now this sweet little 1968
Chevrolet street machine is ready and waiting for you at
Maxmotive.
