Porsche launched the 911 in 1965 and although it had yet to become a class-leading icon, the 911 was rather expensive. Porsche expanded their market by offering the same body style, but with a 4-cylinder engine which Porsche could sell as their entry level model, known as the 912. The 912 had less power than the 911, however it carried less weight and remained a well-balanced car with excellent road manners. Porsche offered the 912 with standard 4 or optional 5 speed manual transmission, this particular 912 received the optional 5 speed. 1969 marked the final year of the 912 model (with exception to the 1 year only 912E of 1976). The 1969 912 followed the 911 chassis adding more than two inches to the wheelbase (now considered the LWB cars). Other refinements included flared wheel arches, improved ventilation, electric defrost, revised dashboard gauges and an improved electrical system.
Produced in January of 1969, this 912 Coupe has been immaculately restored with no stone left unturned. It has since been shown at various Porsche concours events with a recent judged score of 295.1 out of 300. This 912 in its original livery of Champagne Yellow over Black is immaculate in every way. While in its previous Porsche collector ownership, this 912 has been enjoyed on long rallies and tours within the United States. It has performed superbly through every event. This 912 offers zero disappointments and includes books, tools, jack, spare wheel and records. It is ready for immediate enjoyment and eligible for numerous vintage rallies and concours events.

The Porsche 911 market has not quite caught up with the SC models, making them still affordable choices
In 1976, Porsche had a problem: they did not have an entry-level sports car in their lineup. Their solution was one of the more-interesting stop-gap measures ever created.
The Porsche 912 came back to life after a six-year gap for the 1976 model year only
Porsche prices have been on a dramatic rise in recent years, especially for those cars with special performance features, racing history or celebrity provenance.
In 1976, Porsche brought back its four-cylinder 912 model for one year as a less-pricey alternative to the fairly expensive six-cylinder 911.
The Pick of the Day is a “real barn find,” a 1960 Fiat 1500 S cabriolet being advertised for sale — for $15,000 — on ClassicCars.com by a private seller. “These Fiat 1500S were built alongside the Ferrari 250S,” the seller says in the advertisement. “The car needs a good cosmetic restoration,” the seller adds, […]
