black 1979 Special Edition' Firebird Trans Am is representative of
the vehicle made popular in the film Smokey and the Bandit. The
filmmakers actually used 4 1976 models that were made to look like
1977 models. This particular vehicle was assembled at the General
Motors plant in Van Nuys, Ca, but the majority were built locally
in Norwood, Oh. The Norwood facility produced its last vehicle
August 26, 1987.
