We enjoy declaring this..."same owner since 1972."
1966 Corvette with 327/300hp matching numbers engine and service
records.
This car is equipped with the original 327/300 hp engine which has
standard 4-barrel carburetor, big intake-valve cylinder heads,
hydraulic valve lifters for smooth quiet operation and 2 "
diameter dual exhaust system.
This 327 engine has been upgraded with headers, and we have the
original exhaust manifolds which are included in the sale. See
photo below. The manifolds are in excellent condition.
Also to note on this 1966, it came standard with 3-Speed manual
transmission matched to the 300hp engine. While there is an
upgraded Muncie M-21 4-Speed installed on this car, we also have
the original 3-Speed manual transmission which is included in the
sale. See photo below of the original 3-Speed transmission. This is
the great thing about knowing who owned the car since 1972. The car
is responsive with an upgraded 3:73 positraction differential.
On the outside, the first thing most Corvette lovers notice on a
1966 Vette is the new-style bright metal grille. The shape gives
the car a more rugged look. Just ahead of the left-hand retractable
headlight is the new nameplate.
The Ermine White paint (code 972) matches the original trim tag,
and this car has a very nice stock body. The interior is refinished
from standard red vinyl (code 407) to beautiful Al Knoch red
leather. This is a nice upgrade. Also equipped with stock AM/FM
Stereo, however hidden in the glove compartment is an AM/FM/CD
player. Professionally installed..
This 1966 Corvette Coupe is solid and cared for by the same
enthusiast since the early 70s. We have the original trans and
exhaust manifolds if you desire to install. All around this is a
great driver.
