This 1967 Mercury is the ultimate sleeper. At a glance, it looks
like a pure luxury boulevard cruiser. But look a little closer and
you may find a badge that says "S-55", and another that says "428",
revealing that this may not be the innocent convertible you think
it is. It's 1 of only 145 ever built. The 1967 S-55 convertible is
extremely rare. Under the hood sits the 428C.I. Super Marauder V8
mated to the smooth and strong Merc-O-Matic C-6 transmission. That
monter under the hood produces 345hp and a mind-blowing 462lb-ft of
torque! This luxurious Merc has enough power to blow away some of
the high-end muscle cars of it's day and will still surprise anyone
that dares to challenge it at a stoplight. That impressive
drivetrain doesn't mean it loses any of it's luxury comfort and
convenience though. It still has power steering and power front
disc brakes as well as factory air conditioning, power driver's
seat, a power top, and remote driver's mirror control. The S-55
package also includes tuned dual exhaust, and an engine dress-up
kit that includes chrome plated valve covers, fan shroud, air
cleaner and more. It also features factory performance suspension
that will blow your mind. The suspension remains smooth for normal
cruising, but will keep you planted around corners with very little
body roll. It's truly breathtaking on a car of this size. The
Parchment interior is still just as roomy and plush as a standard
Monterey. The exterior is finished in correct Trafalgar Blue
accented by a white convertible top and glittering chromework. This
Mercury is calling your name, don't let someone else get to it
first! You're welcome to visit our showroom/museum in sunny Venice,
