Rarity, distinction, and attitude make this 1996 Chevrolet Impala
SS an instant standout. After all, who can resist a modern classic
with plenty of V8 fuel-injected power and a full midnight
appearance?
These were only around for a few short years, so this generation
Impala SS is always in-demand. But this instant-classic stands out
even a bit more. This retains a nice gloss and shine to continue
attracting attention. In fact, Chevy advertised these by saying
"Lord Vader, your car is ready." And so this one lives up to that
dark side feeling. That attitude continues on the color-matched
bumpers, integrated rear spoiler, and blackout grille that all
really helped announce this was something special. The only real
hint of brightwork are places like the tastefully done window trim,
badging, and the upgraded LED lights. And the five-spoke alloys
look like custom units, but were direct from Chevy for this special
SS.
The interior is what makes the Impala SS such great all-around
classic. After all, there's plenty of room for family and friends
to spread out across the gray leather interior. And because this
has averaged less than 2,500 miles annually, you have a well-done
and well-preserved appearance. This is a modern classic, and so
it's loaded with the best features like power windows, power locks,
keyless entry/alarm, cruise control, power mirrors, a powerful
AM/FM/CD stereo, and cold R134a air conditioning with new air
compressor. There's even the modern safety of dual airbags and
anti-lock brakes. But the best treats are what make this a true
driver's machine. Power front bucket seats, tilt steering column,
an armrest center console, and a floor shifter give this full-size
sedan a terrific sports car feeling.
The Impala SS is a true legend thanks to the Corvette's LT1. It's a
special V8 to have in this full-size sedan, and so we are glad to
see this numbers-matching motor look as fresh as day one. The
fuel-injected V8 barks to life easily, idles smoothly, and it pulls
like a freight train. So it makes for classic-style muscle but in a
modern and versatile package. The four-speed automatic transmission
w/overdrive is smooth and always seems to be ready to leap into
action. The suspension has been upgraded over the Caprice to handle
the extra power with ease, and it comes with power steering, sway
bars, modern performance tires, and four-wheel power disc
brakes.
Because this is a low-mileage instant collectable, you'll also be
glad it comes with good documentation like the original window
sticker and owner's manual packet. Rarely do modern classic with
this much appeal also come with an affordable price tag. Don't miss
this deal, call today!
