1969 BOSS 302 that is a very rare production Mustang, history shows this two year only production that was a car produced only to make Ford eligible for TransAm racing series that was the showcase of the racing world, also the lines of said design are part of automotive history, here is now a fully restored and finished in the spectacular factory color of Calypso Coral, a just terrific proven show car, from a well-known and respected Mustang collector, this is a winner of many awards, has the MARTI REPORT, these were produced with the heads of the 351 cid Cleveland V8 that are fitted to the Windsor 302 tunnel Port 302 so that stayed within the 305cid limit and have the needed size and high rpm, the Ford factory could fight the Chevrolet Camaro Z28 and the Penske Javelin, note that this has the correct factory warranty replacement block that is normal for this year, the early engines had oiling issues and Ford often replaced said blocks, the 1970 dated CE block is a factory replacement, most of these engines had problems with the original pistons, the 302 engine produced a factory rating of 290 horsepower at 5800 rpm with most claiming it to be actually much higher to couple the 290 lbs of torque, according to The Mustang Chronicle, the rating was actually around 400 horsepower, this engine is rebuilt to very high standards, just fully professionally tuned, highly detailed beautifully under hood, terrific presentation both mechanically and cosmetically, just excellent detailed underchassis, again note that in 1969 that only 1628 Boss 302s were made, in 1970 there were 7013 were produced making this 1969 car a more collectable version, has all original sheet metal also has the terrific correct ‘rolled’ factory fenders, according to the Marti report there is full documentation of this car build plus the VIN # shows this to be a real Boss, this engine strong engine and 4 speed transmission combination are exceptional, top mechanicals, full one of the most important cars ever made is the BOSS 302 as listed in THE GREAT BOOK OF MUSCLE CARS published in 1990, see www.fraserdante.com for further information and full inventory
