The Mustang "Spring Special" Sports Coupe is a rare hardtop-only appearance package marketed from March until May of 1971. Similarly to the Grabbers, this model was dressed up to simulate a 351 Boss Mustang. The package retailed for $97 and incorporated the following features: Boss tape stripes, color-keyed dual sport mirrors, Mach I grille with sport lamps & moulding/bumper group, NASA hood, and hubcaps with trim rings. Though it may not be a Mach 1, this Mustang is no slouch. Under the hood is the desirable 351C V8 and if the slotted mag wheels aren't your style, you'll find the original hubcaps with trim rings in the trunk.
