For sale is a 1978 Porsche 930 Turbo. This car is as rare as it is
beautiful--#414 of 461 made for the US market that year and the
only one believed to be finished in paint-to-sample Medium Green
Metallic. The top portion of the car is believed to have been
refinished in this same, original paint color after some sun
fading. As a whole, the exterior is in great condition with some
minor wear and tear. The green coloring of the exterior is brought
inside the car with green carpeting, which provides a nice contrast
to the factory white leather which covers the seats (both in
excellent condition) and the door panels. Under the hood of this
Turbo remains the numbers matching 3.3L flat-six turbo engine. This
mean, green, Porsche machine boasts 265 HP and 291 lb-ft torque.
The power from this engine is delivered to the rear wheels by a
4-speed manual transmission. Though documentation is not available,
the car is believed to have received an engine-out reseal and fuel
injection system rebuild a number of years ago. With the exception
of a set of aftermarket speakers, the car stands in mostly original
condition. All electronics are said to be fully functional. This
car is offered with a tool kit, factory books, a Porsche
Certificate of Authenticity, and bragging rights. It's said to have
received honors at the annual Naples, Florida event, the PCA Werks
Reunion in Amelia Island, Florida, and at two PCA Parades.
