Vehicle Description
*Superformance GT40P2212 is a MKI Body Style GT40 painted in
1968/1969 Gulf Livery. This build was done to replicate the back to
back LeMans Champ P1075 to exacting detail.
*The Original Owner ordered his Superformance GT40 MKI with the
extra wide body option with RHD. adding 14" wide wheels with AVON
historic hand grooved tires gives this GT40 the correct stance. He
then took the time to replicate ever exterior component to display
his GT40 in as raced condition at the 1969 Le Mans Race. Features
such as, Raised Zeus Fasteners, Interior Door Latch, Exterior Pit
Light, Front Running Light, Bug Deflector, Decal Kit (only needs
the "6" put on), Round Fog Lights, Exterior Power Cut-Off Switch,
Turn Signals, Race Correct Seats, Under Dash Handbrake, FAV (Ford
Advanced Vehicles) ID Tag, Twin Pin Ream Clam, Gauge Layout, Fuel
Gauge, and Fire Extinguisher Location.
*This GT40 has been fitted with 302 Hydraulic Roller Block,
Professionally notched with a 306 stroker kit. Built with the
following components: SCE Copper Head Gaskets, Melling high volume
oil pump, Eagle crank, Comp Cams road/race cam, Clevite bearings,
SRP flat top pistons, Eagle H-Beam rods, DSS stud girdle and
windage tray, Original GT40 Aviad oil pan, Original GT40 crank,
water pump, and alternator pulleys, Original GT40 alternator
bracket and tensioner, Period correct Autolight alternator, Trick
Flow twisted wedge heads (stud fitment), Harland Sharp offset
roller rockers, Edelbrock high flow water pump, Fel Pro gaskets and
ARP fasteners throughout, Zero balance Safir flywheel, MSD pro
billet distributor, MSd 6AL-2 ignition control, Period Correct
Starter, Oil cooler adapter, Period Correct GT40 bellhousing
casting, and Twin Plate Mcleod Clutch. Then topped with genuine
four 48 IDA Weber carburetors, jetted and set-up with period
correct side pull linkage, with perod correct engine cover. The
Engine makes over 400HP to the flywheel.
*This project was completed on 1-7-2019 with a Quaife 5 Speed
Transaxle. It is Titled as a 1965 Ford with the VIN of
GT40P2212.
*Every Superformance GT40 is stamped with a Continuation P Series
Chassis Number along the line of the original P1000 Series GT40's
of the 60's. Superformance GT40's are also eligible for the Shelby
World Registry.
*In its current condition, GT40P2212 would cost over $245,000 to
replicate including engine, transaxle, installation, and chassis
modifications. GT40P2212 is currently available for $224,950.
