Vehicle Description
1970 Chevrolet El Camino SS This head turning, great sounding
classic drives like a dream! We belive this beautiful 1970
Chevrolet El Camino to be an orriginal SS 454 car. We finished the
restoration in January of 2020. It is fresh painted in the
orriginal cranberry red color with the black 'tuxedo' hood pattern.
The engine is a fresh built LS5 454. 1970 was the final year of the
manufactures horse power wars and the only year the LS5 360 HP 500
lbs torque engine was offered. This engine has; a modest
performance cam, polished Edelbrock intake, Holly 780 carb, HEI
ignition, headers, and an alluminum radiator. All of the SS454 cars
came with the M40 Turbo Hydramatic trans and a 12 bolt differential
with 3.31.1 gears. This beauty also has the complete SS option
package including; factory air, the F41 suspension package with
front disc brakes, front and rear sway bars, cowl induction, hood
pins, center console with horseshoe shifter and the SS gauge
package which includes a tach,. We have added an oil pressure gauge
and upgraded the bucket seats to modern (really comfortable) new
Carbeau seats. Everything in the interior is brand new, gauges,
carpet, seats, door panels, headliner, a 14 inch performance
steering wheel, and a relica radio with 4 speakers and blue tooth.
All of the chrome on the car is new or very nice. The entire
underside and engine compartment have been detailed, the exhaust is
2 1/2' flowmaster and we have upgraded to air shocks. The bed has
spray in liner and a lay in mat. The new raised letter tires are
mounted on new OEM rims. This is one of the very nicest El Caminos
on the road and is a new restoration. Bring your girlfriend and
cruise your turf or proudly attend car shows and club gatherings.
