Vehicle Description
While the sleek red paint first attracted to this 1964 Chevrolet
C10, dig a little deeper. Because you're going to discover a
frame-off restoration that created a full custom build with a
modern/comfy A/C interior, overdrive transmission, four-wheel disc
brakes, and a serious upgrade in V8 power.
The truck makes a terrific first impression, and that starts with
the paint. The red has the extra depth of burgundy for added
sophistication, and there's plenty of metallic element to radiate
in the sunshine. And the reason why a bold modern color looks so
good on this pickup is because it has some timeless curves. The
designers built a tapered mid-section for a signature look that
hugs the hood line, wraps around the doors, and continues down the
bed. Speaking of the bed, it's a true marvel on its own with bright
hickory boards that have a high-gloss finish of six coats of clear
on top! The body panels are straight, the glass looks awesome, and
the chrome front bumper and grille give this a 10,000-watt smile.
But as great a classic as this one appears, you also probably
picked up on the wide tubs in the bed for the meaty rear tires. It
signals there's performance in this beauty, too.
Inside is more burgundy and black in a very comfortable total
package. It starts with the upgraded bucket seats finished in a
supple leather. These are Chevy units, but borrowed from a much
younger pickup. So you get excellent bolstering, three-point belts,
individual armrest, and they even power adjust. There is air
conditioning to keep you ice cold, a cup holder center console, and
the stereo has been upgraded to an AM/FM/CD/DVD touchscreen unit
that features Bluetooth and a backup camera. More than just
comfortable, this is a driver-oriented package with a Budnik sports
steering wheel on a tilt column, a B&M floor shifter, and crisp
AutoMeter gauges with a large speedo and tach.
The engine bay reveals a tidy setup with nice detailing, like the
clean inner-walls and the ribbed valve covers with matching air
topper. But what you'll really love is that this is a 400
cubic-inch V8 that delivers big block displacement in a small block
weight/size. Plus, it has been upgraded with the right comports,
like an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, an aluminum intake, an
electronic Davis Untied Ignition, and long tube headers that feed
the rumbling Dynomax dual exhaust. While this is a powerful
package, it was built to truly enjoy. The V8 runs great, and the
upgrade to the 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission gives you
highway-friendly overdrive. Plus, there's a new power steering
unit, the C10's desirable trailing arm rear suspension, and
upgraded four-wheel power disc brakes with CPP master cylinder.
This is a quality full restoration that delivers a powerful,
comfortable, and head-turning pickup of a powerful vintage pickup.
