The 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 396 is one of the meanest looking
muscle cars Chevy ever made with its big block power, muscle car
suspension, and SS badging. We have a great Fathom Green 1969
Chevrolet Chevelle decked out with SS 396 trim here today at

Engine & Drivetrain
Our Chevelle has a period correct 396 cubic inch big block Chevy
engine, with the era-casting number #3935540, that had the 325
horsepower rating straight from the factory.
Our engine looks great painted in its factory shade of Chevy Orange
paint, and has a few more power adding parts such as the Holley
four-barrel carburetor, aluminum intake manifold, long tube
headers, and the rumbling dual exhaust, plus in the looks
department it has a chrome open air cleaner and chrome valve
covers, performance spark plug wires, coil, and distributor, power
steering, power brakes, all sitting in the nicely painted and
detailed engine bay.
Interior
This Chevelle is all business on the inside with the great factory
matching interior code green with the split bench front seat and
rear seat in excellent green vinyl, green carpeting, column mounted
shifter, upgraded wood three-spoke sports steering wheel, full
factory gauge panel as well as accessory gauges underneath, and the
factory AM/FM radio.
Exterior
Everything looks good on the outside of this Chevelle from the
chrome bumpers to the straightness of the body that is painted in
one of the factory 1969 colors of Fathom Green, not the gold it
came from the factory with. The green/green paint and interior
looks a lot better!
It has SS badging, the factory correct SS 396 stripe, blacked-out
grille and tail panel, the twin hood power bulges and rides on
upgraded chrome 5-spoke mag wheels on black wall performance
tires.
Conclusion
The Fathom Green 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle complete with SS 396 trim
we have here at Adventure Classics was a great muscle car in its
day, and still is, as well as an iconic classic today.
