This is a wonderful example of a well preserved Studebaker. We purchased the car recently from an estate of a 90 year old collector. He had several Studebakers in his collection. This was the last one available. My soon to be 16 year old daughter fell in love with the classic look and the excellent red interior the minute she laid eyes on it. Lucky for us we were able to acquire it. The funny thing is, the entire time we were negotiating the sale and delivery of this car, we both thought it was an automatic. We got a surprise when it showed up. This car sports a rare "three on the tree" manual transmission. I thought it was awesome. Needless to say, my daughter did not. No clutch for her. Automatic only. That's why we've decided to let someone else enjoy this classic beauty. All orginal and unmolested. Solid throughout. The interior is fantastic! The pictures speak for themselves. The seats and headliner are nearly flawless. The gauges do show some sign of fading and the dash is a little warped. But after all, this car is almost 60 years old. It was garaged for a lot of its life. The exterior paint is in great condition. There are a couple of spots where it looks like it has been touched up. The undercarriage is solid, only showing minor signs of surface rust. There is no cancer or major rusted out areas. The tires all have excellent tread and show no signs of cracking. The fold down vanity is neat. Has original owners manual. Original wheels and engine. I put new spark plugs, points, a muffler, and an Interstate battery in it. Fires right up and is ready to roll. The 3 speed transmission is smooth and so fun to drive (For me anyways. NOT for my little girl). It also has overdrive. Bonus! This car isn't perfect but you'll be hard pressed to find this car in this good of condition for this price. Motivated seller. I've got to find an automatic for my sweetheart. Please feel free to email anytime with questions or make me your best offer. I will be glad to help with shipping to anywhere in the US.
