This 1967 GMC 2500 4WD Pickup is a really cool find. It is a real
Camper Special that came with the mirrors, bumpers, and tie downs.
It is a lifelong California truck that still has it's original
Light Blue Paint with cool Patina everywhere. This is a true
california truck that was built in California and resided there
until we shipped it over here. This was a special order truck from
FB Hart Co GMC around 107 North of Fremont, CA and the truck spent
last 50 + years on a Ranch in the Sierra Nevada Foothills. It comes
with original owners manuals and Protect-O-Plate. This is a true
California Survivor that will be hard to duplicate. The body on
this truck is solid and clean with no rust holes or rust, just that
cool patina that everyone would like to duplicate when they restore
their own vehicle. It has some minor bumps and bruises that really
give it a lot of character and it looks great in person. It looks
like the remaining paint is all original and it appears to have all
of the original sheet metal it was born with. The underside is also
super solid and only has the normal surface rust you would see on
bare metal parts. No holes or patches were found. The interior is
very stock and the truck still has the original steering wheel
which is very cool. Recently the original seat was recovered
because the fabric on the original was ripped and when the seat was
out new carpet was added as well. Other items replaced were a new
dash pad because of cracking and new sun visors that were worn out.
The interior looks fantastic and gives you that old look with a new
feel. All of the lights, blinkers, wipers, and gauges are working
except gas gauge
This truck originally came with a V6 and that was replaced with a
dependable 350 V8 that runs excellent and obviously gives it more
power. The engine runs strong with no smoke or red flags. It has a
Holley Barrell Carb that was added at that time as well. When the
engine was put in they added a mild cam and an Edelbrock
Performance intake as well. The truck really does run nice. The
transmission is the SM420 (Synchro-Mesh) Muncie 4 Speed which has a
PTO port on the side if you choose to use it. First gear is a crawl
gear and it is mated to the Rockwell 221 Transfer Case. The Tranny
shifts great and the 4WD functions like it should. The Rear Axle is
a DANA 60 with 4.56 Gears and the front axle is the HD DANA 44.
This truck ran and drove down the road great!!
