For Sale: 1999 Ford Van in San Luis Obispo, California

Vehicle Description

1999 Ford Econoline RV Cutaway Road Van. Rebuilt Triton V10 engine and overdrive transmission for maximum gas mileage. This is truly a One-of-a-kind Party Bus/RV and camper. She is "Shuttle Van Conversion Number 6" Professionally built in 2013 by John Schmalshof, custom coach builder in Atlanta, GA. The exterior looks pretty normal for a Shuttle bus, except perhaps for the diamond plated tool box in the rear. However, the interior is constructed of natural wood, cloth upholstery, curtains and amply appointed with Stainless steel hardware and equipped with many creature comforts. This Shuttle Bus Conversion offers many windows for viewing Nature - much more than a conventional RV/Motor Coach and has shore power hookups when at a campsite with services, but also can be very functional for days "off-grid" with its solar panels and power inverter. Tinted windows give privacy. The Van Sleeps 4 comfortably - One queen bed and one Gaucho couch/bed...The conversion in 2013 included installation of the elevated queen bed platform at the rear of the coach. Directly under the bed is a 25 gallon water tank and a large cavity for luggage and storage accessed from the outside clamshell door. Also under the bed is storage space for clothing with sliding doors of faux marble accessible from inside. A large matching faux marble cabinet was installed on the LHS of the van for storage which houses the stainless steel sink bowl and encases the 20 Gallon water heater. Opposite the cabinet on the RHS of the van is a Gaucho bed - a comfy couch by day, and a fold out two-sleeper bed by night. The coach was modified to accomodate a large Norcold Refrigerator/Freezer (AC and propane) and a microwave.....purchased in 2015 and driven Cross-Country. no problems whatsoever and the bus drove well and was very comfortable. In 2015, Solar Panel system added (utilizing two marine batteries for storage). Also in 2015 the van received a new HO alternator, all new belts and hoses, a new wireless Electric Door System for side door entry, a new AC compressor, and a new bluetooth remote control stereo system. In 2020 the carpeting was removed and a new vinyl floor of simulated oak was installed. .....Here are a few more details of the Coach's features:-Fuel Injected Triton V-10 engine with $2600 in repair work and improvements in 2015 - have all receipts-- Manual Overdrive - giving maximum MPG on the freeway, Power Brakes-- Power Steering--Comfortable Seating-- Modifications Include:- The Interior of course - custom built Queen bed and storage cabinets.
