Vehicle Description
This 1951 Ford Custom Coupe is that perfect mix of vintage appeal
with extra flair added in. So if you love upgraded V8 power and a
head-turning personality, then this is the cool classic you need to
read all about.
The '51 Ford has always been a popular one with the custom car
scene because it really represents the first piece of automotive
optimism after WWII. But to get it this right takes someone with an
eye for detail. It starts with the desirable coupe body. These have
the long trunk and symmetrical profile that loves some super smooth
details. That's why they expertly eliminated the badging, moved the
trunk hinges, and frenched the headlights and taillights. Even the
full-length side trim is now actually painted on for a true smooth
and Kustom finish. Of course, the metallic burgundy paint gives
this the kind of added radiance that really gets the coupe noticed.
And no 1950s-style custom is complete without a shining Mercury
grille. But as custom/cool as this look, it still retains its
vintage flair in the right places. Big chrome bumpers and two-piece
wheel trim with whitewalls are all part of that ideal classic
look.
The interior was upgraded to a supple leather. It looks terrific
while still respecting the Ford's vintage roots. For example, the
two-tone tan upholstery on the both rows of seats is exceptionally
clean and comfortable, but it still follows a classic-style
pattern. This is repeated on the door panels for a great uniform
feeling. Plus, with the exterior burgundy returning on the meal
elements - like the dash and door tops - this has the overall
feeling of a thoughtful custom. There are nice classic details,
like the vintage steering wheel that's now color-matched to the
car, and the AM radio is still on display. These are joined by
worthwhile upgrades, like the auxiliary gauges and a cool floor
shifter.
The smooth inner walls of the engine bay look terrific on this
custom, and in the middle is a healthy upgrade in V8 power. This
350 cubic-inch crate motor has the polished valve covers, matching
air topper, and overall tidy look of a car you want to show off.
Plus, there are the right power upgrades, too, with an Edelbrock
intake and Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor. It's a strong running
motor with the kind of extra power you're going to love. It even
makes the right tune out of the dual exhaust. Best of all, you're
fully in control of it all thanks to the three-speed manual
transmission.
This is the shoebox Ford coupe that has been given all the right
love and flair. So if you like a complete custom cruiser, don't let
this one slip away. Call now!
