Vehicle Description
When automotive companies allow their design and engineering teams
to have an open checkbook and utilize the history and knowledge at
their discretion, it is simply AWESOME! Unfortunately, very rarely
does this happen because the accountants get involved and shut the
project down to curtail costs and skimp on what the consumers
really want. Well in 2002 Subaru unleashed their highly skilled
Tecnica department team to create the WRX for the North American
market. This was met with huge accolades by the Subaru enthusiast
and any rally minded person. Two years later the STi was launched
and provided a larger 2.5L engine, six speed manual, limited slip
differential, larger Brembo brakes, BBS wheels, and the iconic rear
spoiler.
DON'T BE SCARED!!!! This is a one-owner STi that was owned, loved
and maintained obsessively with no expense spared. Car was ordered
on 5-21-2003 by Mr. Keech out of Concordville Nissan/Subaru out of
Concordville Pennsylvania. Vehicle was delivered on August 13th of
2003 with 3 miles on the odometer. Vehicle was ordered nicely with
all standard features along with a few select options from the
factory; Turbo Boost Gauge, wheel locks, armrest extension, and
auto dimming mirror, security system upgrade, and carbon fiber
pattern trim on console and doors.
This car was serviced routinely every 3k miles with proper oil
changes and tuned and slight modifications done by Agile Automotive
Performance in Fallston Maryland. Vehicle has been nicely preserved
in stock setup minus a few modifications that are strictly to allow
the engine to breathe better and perform. The mods include; proper
tuning by Agile, Cobb air intake and filter box, Perrin oil catch
can, light weight battery, COBB exhaust, RPS Max Street clutch,
Whiteline front and rear sway bars, slotted brake rotors,
Beltronics Accelerometer, and upgraded inter-cooler water sprayer.
Since this was a radio delete car that owner also added a nice
Alpine stereo with XM, Bluetooth and CD player along with speakers
and a sub in the rear that could easily be removed.
This car runs strong and with such an early serial# on the engine,
it is believed to be one of the few that were hand built at the
Subaru factory. Vehicle is in excellent condition and the miles do
not reflect the condition of the vehicle. It has been kept in a
detailed state its entire life, used as a daily driver to commute
150 miles / day. The owner coveted the car and didn't ever balk at
the opportunity to improve the car or service it based on the
mechanic. A February 2020 service by Agile Automotive Performance
of Forest Hill, Maryland included a new timing belt, water pump,
drive belts, heater core hoses, idler pulleys, power steering pump,
and associated fluids. An IHI VF48 turbo was installed in 2012
after the factory turbocharger failed at 88k miles.
