In 2001 Chevrolet brought back the Z06 package, which in 1963
signified a racing package for the Corvette. Powered by the 385HP
LS6 5.7 Liter V8 and backed by a 6 speed manual transmission. Just
a few of the upgrades that the LS6 recieved were redesigned intake
manifold with smoother internal passages, revised cylinder heads,
higher compression, and hotter camshaft. Some of the other
performance upgrades that the Z06 package received was a higher
performance clutch, larger diameter driveshaft, and revised 6 speed
manual trans axle. Due to the extra horse power, it also received
1" wider wheels and tires on all four corners. Engine cooling was
also improved by the mesh filled grilles on the front fascia. The
rear brakes also were cooled by similar grilles mounted on the side
of the car just in front of the rear wheel wells. This particular
2001 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 has been very well maintained. With
just 30000 original miles, it runs and drives just as a 2001 Z06
should. The red exterior is in excellent condition and so are the
special Z06 wheels. The red and black leather interior is also in
excellent condition. Just a few of the options which this Z06 is
loaded with are power steering, power disc brakes, power windows,
power locks, power mirrors, cruise control, air conditioning, AM/FM
CD stereo, dual climate control, and memory drivers seat. This
special hardtop coupe Z06 is a piece of Corvette performance
history. And what is better than a little red corvette.
