Up for sale is the last of GM's big 2-Door K5 SUV. This one, GMC's 1994 Yukon version. These had a bit more rounded edges than the square bodies that preceded it but the slab sided profile has begun to capture the attention of collectors and enthusiasts. Aside from the good look, what had not changed was the fact that these were still full sized, truck based 4x4's that are highly capable off roaders.
This example is in overall great condition with only 136k miles on the odometer. Always a Texas truck you will not find any rust on it. It has a very healthy and strong running 5.7 liter fuel injected V8 engine and smooth shifting 4-speed automatic transmission with a two speed transfer case for operating in 4x4 mode. Dual Flow Master exhaust give it a deep but not obnoxious rumble. It has had lots of recent maintenance including a front end rebuild. The truck rolls smooth and stops as it should. It cruises nice and easy at highway speed, tracking straight down the road on fresh all terrain tires mounted on 16" custom wheels.
Everything works including the AC and driver's power seat adjustment. It has an aftermarket Alpine stereo that sounds good. Interior is clean. There are some age related imperfections but it still presents well with a good stance. The minor cosmetic issues cannot take away from how well this big truck drives.
They just don't make them like this anymore, and for that reason the good ones like this are going up in value. These were non-existent at Mecum Auctions in 2016. In 2017 the best one brought $13,500 and they averaged $9,200. In 2018 it was $19,250 for the high price and an average of $10,200. In 2019 the average shot up to $16,350 with the best of the year bringing $25,300. Buy this truck, enjoy it and take care of it and you will never lose money on it.
