Large, striking, and rare, this 1970 Chevrolet Impala convertible
is everything you love about a cool cruising droptop, right down to
its original V8 under the hood. And so it's amazing you can get
something this complete and well presented for such an affordable
price.
A bright red convertible is always something we love. This one was
upgraded to the radiant color later in life, and so the modern
clearcoat finish loves to show off the overall quality application.
It's even nicely detailed with some even brighter red pinstriping.
Plus, all the factory brightwork looks quite nice. This includes
the angular front bumper and the form-fitting rear bumper with the
Impala's hallmark integrated triple taillights. The trim strip that
runs from nose to tail does a great job of highlighting how
straight the panels are. And adding to both shine and stance of
this classic are a set of iconic Cragar SS wheels.
The black convertible top looks quite nice against the red, but
with the flip of a switch, it powers down to reveal the timeless
appeal of a saddle tan interior. This gives a nice first impression
for this premium full-size Impala. The tasteful tan looks good on
the seats, dash, and door panels. It's also nicely detailed with a
button-top presentation and plenty of wood-like trim. And within
this vintage look you also have some nice cruiser-style additions,
like the AM/FM/cassette radio and a VDO tach mounted on the
steering column. Not only does this presentation look good, but you
also have rarity on your side. While we love convertibles today,
they're expensive nature were beginning to fall out of favor in
1970, and only one out of every 64 Impalas made was a droptop.
Under the hood is the numbers-matching 350 cubic-inch V8. While it
retains the stock look of originality that some people love, it
also has the signs of proper maintenance, right down to belts,
wires, and hoses. The three-speed automatic transmission shifts
smooth, and the big Impala has the right cushy ride. Plus, power
steering, power brakes w/discs up, and modern Hankook tires are all
part of this easy driving package.
We know this one was made for fun cruising, that's why there are
even four different horn tones you can choose on demand! It all
makes for a great classic with the size and style you want. Call
