Vehicle Description
Its a 1 of 1 1998 Chevy S10. This truck was owned by GM and The
legendary chassis builder Jerry Haas and was powered by A 358 small
block built by the Legendary motor builder John Lingenfelter and
was raced at Pomona CA in 1997 by John Lingenfelter in the NHRA Pro
Stock Truck series. Lingenfelter is and was legendary for making
small block GM motors scream and posted times like 7.393 in the
quarter of mile at 182.75 with this actual truck. More importantly
is the legacy that follows Lingenfelter. He is the founder of
Lingenfelter Performance Engineering LPE and has worked hand in
hand with GM specializing in modifying and tuning GM small blocks.
Lingenfelter won 13 career national events in Competition
Eliminator and was the first driver in the class to break the
six-second quarter-mile barrier. He finished second in the Pro
Stock Truck standings in 1998 with this truck. The truck was
purchased directly from General Motors personal collection. The
truck is proudly on display here at LRA Auto Museum in Bristol, PA.
