Grand Wagoneer by Classic Gentleman, internationally recognized as a leading buyer, restorer and seller of low mile excellent condition Grand Wagoneers, presents the mechanically modernized and cosmetically restored handsome Charcoal Metallic low original mile 1986 Grand Wagoneer.
Our featured Grand's Carfax reveals her low 91,000 miles are original, with all but 800 of those miles used in the road salt free states of Colorado and Georgia. Therefore, we have a very healthy frame and undercarriage and likewise, Carfax shows no accidents have ever been reported against our lovely '86.
We have just applied the beautiful factory original paint color, Charcoal Metallic, to this lovely gem and she is gorgeous. The exterior wood trim and wood siding is from Team Grand Wagoneer and was installed recently (w/in 800 miles) and looks wonderful against the grey body. Likewise, the wheels have been professionally re-done, highlighting the factory original gold color inserts.A new windshield is also fitted. The remaining exterior chrome and aluminum bits, including the bumpers, center wheel caps, door handles and so on, whilst not new, exhibit low mile, road salt free usage and still present in very good condition.
The rich honey colored interior restoration includes new carpeting on all the floor surfaces and the cargo area sides and inner tailgate. Just the factory original carpet remains on the seat backs and lower door panels, which are areas that receive next to no wear over the years. New custom floor mats are also included. The leather portion of the seats have been re-coated and a new headliner fitted. We also installed new seat belts for both safety and appearance. The working interior appointments include power mirrors, power seats, power windows , power door locks, AM/FM/CD/Bluetooth/Satellite stereo, and of course the heat and air conditioning (which has been updated to R 134 along with a new a/c compressor being installed). Just the crusie control, designed by someone who engeneering was more of a hobby than a profession, is not working.
The newly re-manufactured engine is the factory correct spec 360ci V8 motor. The professional re-manufacturing process is comprehensive and includes a complete dismantle of the motor with new…… valves, main bearings, oil pump, pistons, rod bearings, lifters, timing chain, seals and gaskets. Whenever we fit a newly re-manufactured engine, we also fit a new radiator. We didn't stop there but replaced the original carburetor set up with modern fuel injection to make this vintage Grand as up to date as possible. The transmission has likewise been rebuilt and “shift on the fly” 4 wheel drive is ready for any environment. So, you have a newly re-manufactured engine and a rebuilt transmission along with the important modern upgrade, ditching the factor carburetor and modernizing this sled with fuel injection.
New rear leaf springs have also just been fitted, so her ride will be as comfortable as a Grand Wagoneer should be
