This 1993 Cadillac Allante is the right year that combines the
right features (like the Northstar V8) with the right color combo
and loaded A/C interior to deliver a terrific classic car package
that is nicely preserved.
The factory-correct Pearl Red is the color you want. Not only was
it offered for only two years, but also it captures this car's
attitude. The Allante had its bodies built by Pininfarina before
having them shipped to Detroit to complete production. So the deep
color both represents it's hot Italian and red-blooded American
roots. That's why it's especially nice to see what's believed to be
the factory-applied finish still giving off a nice metallic element
every time the sunshine finds the sheetmetal. Plus, there's added
shine from tasteful brightwork on the bumper trim and optional
Caddy polished alloys. This one even looks nice with the roof in
place, because the black top was replaced in 2015 to stay looking
crisp against the deep red paint.
While this looks nice with the roof up, a car like this is all
about the experience with the top down. And the two-tone tan/beige
leather interior really does look timeless against the exterior
red. This lives up to the Cadillac standard of luxury as you and
your passenger get to individual power adjust your bucket seats to
the ideal position. You'll also share the indulgence of nice
features like power windows, power locks, cup holders, and
automatic climate control with cold-blowing R134a air conditioning.
But the best treats are really meant for you. That's why the dash
is centered around the driver. This includes controls for the trip
computer and premium AM/FM stereo with separate cassette and CD
player. And the dual spoke steering wheel on the tilt column gives
you the safety of an airbag while also providing a clear view to
the full gauge package with large speedo and tach.
Final year Allantes are especially sought-after because this was
the one and only year you could get Cadillac's fuel-injected
4.6-liter Northstar V8. It produces 295 horsepower, which is a huge
48 percent bump over the previous year! This is the
numbers-matching motor, and it has a well-maintained presentation.
In fact, you'll even spot nice details like newer belts and hoses.
This multi-valve V8 has a lively nature everywhere from getting up
front at stoplights, to crawling up to highway passing speeds. It's
built to be enjoyed near or far. That's why you have nice
long-distance features, like a four-speed automatic transmission
w/overdrive, power steering, and cruise control. They combine with
dynamic driving features like a fully independent suspension and
four-wheel power disc brakes w/ABS.
The sale comes complete with the owner's manual packet, service
manuals, and maintenance records. This is the modern classic Caddy
that's ready for the grand tour (even the trunk is ready for your
suitcases AND golf clubs.) So since this gets everything so right -
including the price - you know you need to hurry up and call
today!
