A bright red 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454 with serious big block
power is the kind of thing muscle car dreams are made of. So dig
into all the details on this well-done classic hardtop that has the
power, stance, and growl you've always loved.
Cranberry Red is a nice color to have on a Chevelle SS. After all,
it looks bold, and the modern clearcoat application is great for
sunny days. It only gets better on a coupe like this where there's
a well-coordinated darkness in the details. It's believed to be
true Super Sport, and you have the correct blacked-out grille,
blacked-out rear panel, and a set of proper black racing stripes on
top of the red. Plus, you have all the other great SS details, like
Mag-style wheel, SS badging, and a true Cowl Induction hood with
hood pins. It's a complete and bright package that properly
presents this muscle car icon.
A bucket seat interior is always desirable in a coupe. So just to
make sure everyone really gets a good view at it, this one is
finished in white. It's a detail-oriented setup with the proper
trim on the seats and doors. Of course, what you'll really love
about this Chevelle that it's a hardtop made for driving. The
dual-spoke steering wheel is mounted on a tilt column, so you get a
good view of the proper U14 round gauge panel that features a large
speedo, tach, and working clock. Plus, you have everything from an
auxiliary readout upgrade to a classic center console with iconic
horseshoe shifter to give you full control.
It's always great to open the hood and see proper big block power.
And this 454 cubic-inch V8 is ready to show off with a crisp look
on the bold orange block, matching finned valve covers, and a
bright air topper all radiating from within the dark engine bay.
More than just the right displacement, this fresher V8 has been
upgraded with an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, Weiand aluminum
intake, HEI ignition, and long tube headers. This is a
strong-runner that makes a sweet big block growl from the dual
exhaust. The stout TH400 three-speed automatic transmission feeds a
12-bolt rear end. While we don't have the build sheet to confirms
this is a real-deal Super Sport, as you look at the undercarriage
photos, you see all the right pieces that would indicate this could
be a true SS. They include desirable features like the thicker font
sway bar, boxed rear control arms, frame reinforcements, and a rear
sway bar. Add in power steering and power brakes w/discs up front,
and this SS is a terrific cruiser.
This Chevelle has the look, features, and power you've been after
for so long. That's why you know you can't let this hardtop slip
away. Call today!!!
