This is a beautiful Harley favorite that has been cared for, always garaged, and well maintained. It is black with chrome and has only 18,078 miles. This bike is loaded with every option including cell phone charger and Vince and Hines Longhorn pipes. New for 2000, Harley brought forth in the Softail bike series, a new version of the Twin Cam engine that is more powerful and easier to service and lessened the vibration of the previous Evolution engines. The 2000 model has ribbed covers on the transmission and triple clamp. The one thing that Harley-Davidson made sure was unchanged, is the excellent MPG of 43 mpg. Other changes in the heritage Softail Classic for 2000, were studded leather saddlebags with enough room for short trips for 2 or a longer trip for one person. Also featured is the passenger backrest, full fenders, 16-inch wire spoke wheels, spotlights, tank top instrumentation, and fishtail mufflers. There are other features that were changed in the Y2K year, and those were a one piece fuel gauge built into the dummy left fuel cap, maintenance free battery, larger oil tank, sealed wheel bearings, more accessible side stand and the same key used for both the tank top ignition lock and steering lock.
