Vehicle Description
1962 Cadillac Series 62 Six-Window Sedan DeVille (4-dr Hardtop) *
The current owner bought this Cadillac in May 1983 with the
original Owners Manual, and "Protection Plan" booklet still in the
glove box. * Paint-color code on the "Body by Fisher" plate is 29,
"Turquoise" (See the movie 'Green Book,' 2018 Academy Award winner
for "Best Picture." A turquoise 1962 Cadillac sedan plays a pivotal
role. This car is nearly a dead ringer.) * Car is stock. No factory
or after-market air conditioning. (Only 59% of 1962 Cadillacs were
equipped with factory air.) * Restored in 2002 and 2003, rebuilding
the original 390 cu. in. 325 hp Cadillac V8 * Completed bodywork
and repainted in 2003. Overall, this Caddy is in . . . * Very fine
mechanical condition - including new springs, brakes, hoses,
U-joints, radiator, water pump, and a transmission overhaul, with .
. . * Very fine body, paint, and chrome, including a re-chromed
front bumper * Car is completely reliable. The current owner would
jump in it tomorrow and have no hesitation driving across the
county. * Interior is fair, with some tears in the fabric. * Right
rear window seal could bear replacing. * Speedometer/ odometer is
currently not operating. Odometer shows 51,475 miles. The current
owner's logbook shows approximately 7,592 miles since restoration.
* Radio works well, but the electric retracting antenna is not
currently operating. The mechanical linkage has jumped the track.
The current owner was told that someone with small hands and the
right tool should be able to jump it all back together. * The hood
has a half-dozen tiny rock-chip marks on the left side This is a
straight, lustrously attractive classic you'll be proud to own.
